Emergency relief - hurricane matthew

Handmade dolls, that were given to COGPOW from a Methodist Church in North Florida, were delivered to children affected by Hurricane Matthew while volunteers Danielle Jean and Trish Adams were also delivering school supplies to the affected areas.
This one little girl seemed very happy and really loved the gift. We felt blessed to be able to deliver the gifts.
We delivered 51 bookbags, with school supplies inside, to the One Way Children Home Orphanage; 50 bookbags, with school supplies inside, to children in need in the town of Pastel; 60 bookbags, with school supplies inside, to the town of Bonne Fin, as well as rice for 150 patients in the local hospital, which was in desperate need of food and other supplies; 7 bookbags, with school supplies inside, to children who were relocated to Port Au Prince due to their homes being destroyed; and donated the handmade dolls to young girls in several of these areas when the opportunity presented itself.

COGPOW visitThis boy could not attend school he stated because he did not have shoes. To make sure we could get the correct size we took note of his foot size and we are collecting shoes/money for shoes to bring to him on our December trip.

First to offer servicesWe were the first agency in the area of Bonne Fin to provide help, thus we provided rice to every patient in the hospital. This area lost 90% of its livestock in the flooding caused by Hurricane Matthew.
