Boston area high school students have been raising money to support students at the COGPOW school in Haiti for the past two years.
Several BPS teachers have also sponsored students or donated to support COGPOW, and we would especially like to thank Mr. Gabriel Avruch, Ms. Jennifer Barefoot Smith, Mr. Frank Duncan, Mr. Ed Harris, and Ms. Mia Manducca for their generosity.
The Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers students and staff have been especially generous, funding a library with over 300 books as well as sending Christmas packages and sponsoring individual children. We thank them for their dedication and support of our community!

doctorsIn December of 2018 a team of doctors from both Haiti and the United States volunteered their time to travel to COGPOW and provide physical exams as well as eye exams to our students. These doctors will continue to return to see not only the students, but also members of the community who are in need of health care. The ophthalmologist brought with her glasses for those in need.
